  • About the Opportunity

DeLaval has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Order Fulfilment Manager to join their Oceania team in Hamilton, NZ. 

The Order Fulfilment Manager is responsible for end to end management of the order fulfilment process within the Oceania region, this includes all applicable customer service and order management duties. The Order Fulfilment Manager ensures that all orders placed on the Oceania entity are processed in accordance with the customers and organization's expected standards & procedures. The Order Fulfilment Manager is expected to directly interface with Customers and Internal Stakeholders and where appropriate identify and implement improvement activities designed to enhance the ‘Customer Experience’.

The Order Fulfilment Manager will lead and develop a team that is responsible for processing all Oceania B2B and B2C orders and that also acts as the first point of contact for Customers and internal stakeholders in relation to all Order Management activities i.e. order entry, tracking, delivery, invoicing, credits, returns etc. as well as co-ordinating responses to all other general inquiries from the Dealer network and General Public.

 This is a customer facing position, the Order Fulfilment Manager is expected to demonstrate a good level of business acumen in order to assist in the development of a high level of engagement with the customer as well as fully understand operational processes. The Order Fulfilment Manager is responsible for monitoring service level indicators on a daily basis and proactively addressing any performance deviations, The Order Fulfilment Manager is expected to work directly with Customers and internal stakeholders to review service level and other relevant performance data periodically in order to collaboratively identify and implement recognised improvement opportunities.

 The Order Fulfilment Manager must liaise effectively with a number of internal and external stakeholders including customers, therefore excellent relationship management skills and the ability to build effective networks are a pre-requisite.

 A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected in this position along with a stress resistant nature.

 To be considered, you'll have

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in either Supply Chain or Business Management
  • Relevant management experience and leadership of teams
  • A successful track record in either Logistics, Order fulfilment or customer service
  • Use of leading edge ERP systems, preferably SAP
  • Practical application of Logistics process such as inventory optimization. order flow and capacity planning
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Ability to build effective networks
  • Relevant dairy industry experience is preferred, but not essential.

DeLaval is looking for a motivated individual with a keen eye for detail that has a can do attitude. You will be resilient, commercially astute with the ability to resolve issues in a professional and speedy manner.  

You'll be liaising with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders so it is essential that you have outstanding interpersonal communication skills, including strong written and verbal English language skills.  Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite is also required.  

The position will require the incumbent to travel for a maximum of 2 weeks per quarter within the Oceania region with occasional requirements to travel further overseas.
